Seton Hill University’s Harlan Gallery will present an exhibit, “past/present,” which showcases work created by members of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh from February 25-March 25, 2010. A reception will be held Thursday, February 25, from 4-7 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

The 26 piece exhibit explores the history and identity of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh as the organization celebrates its centennial anniversary in 2010 and features painting, photography, mixed media, and sculptural mixed media pieces.

Artists exhibiting work include Alan Byme of Pittsburgh, Pa., Timothy Burak of Pittsburgh, Pa., Elizabeth Castonguay of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kelly Coursey-Grey of Trafford, Pa., Betty Elias of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tom Ferraro of Erie, Pa., Fran Gialamas of Pittsburgh, Pa., Gloria Goldsmith Hersch of Export, Pa., Jay Ressler of Pittsburgh, Pa., Martha Ressler of Pittsburgh, Pa., Anna-Marie Snisky of Munhall, Pa., Kathryn Stanko of Monroeville, Pa., Benjamin Thomas of Pittsburgh, Pa., Lucienne Wald of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Paula Weiner of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Associated Artists of Pittsburgh members Carol Brode, assistant professor of art at Seton Hill University and director of Harlan Gallery, and Kathleen Mendus Dlugos, professor of art at Westmoreland County Community College, selected the work included in the exhibit, which will also travel to Robert Morris University and Westminster College in 2010.

Harlan Gallery is a professional exhibition space open to the public free of charge, and is located in Reeves Hall on Seton Hill University’s main hilltop campus in Greensburg, Pa.
