Teresa Bassi, Seton Hill University’s director of Counseling, Disability and Health Services, has been elected to the executive board of the Pennsylvania College Counseling Association where she will serve as secretary.

Bassi, of Latrobe, Pa., is a Nationally Certified Counselor and holds a professional license in Pennsylvania as a counselor. Bassi obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Seton Hill University and her Master of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has 30 years experience as a counselor. Bassi’s career at Seton Hill spans two decades.

The Pennsylvania College Counseling Association (PaCCA) is a statewide association of people in higher education who have a professional identity in counseling and whose purpose is fostering student development. PaCCA is a state division of the American College Counseling Association and affiliated with the Pennsylvania Counseling Association.

The purpose of PaCCA is to provide a professional college counseling network and forum, continuing education seminars and conferences and professional development and referral resources as well as to promote state licensure and the profession of college counseling, promote ethical and responsible professional practice, and promote communication and exchange among college counselors across service areas and institutional settings.
