According to signs posted by the club, the garbage collected, if recycled, could have powered a laptop for 340 hours, powered a light bulb for 120 hours, or produced 32 sq. ft. of carpet or 250 sheets of paper.

Seton Hill's Green Club is the result of a social action project initiated in Assistant Professor of Art Carol Brode's senior seminar. Its mission is to "raise awareness of global and local environmental issues by identifying solutions and implementing local actions for a cleaner and environmentally friendly community."
