This past Saturday the men and women's track and field teams had their last team tune up before the WVIAC Championships in two weeks at Glenville State.  The men and women combined for 2 new Seton Hill school records, 12 men and women placed in the top 3 finishers in their events and 30 men and women finished in the top 8 places on the day.  On the women's side, Alexis Hawkins placed 3rd in the long jump and 5th in the triple jump, Nicole Malara finished 7th in the long jump, Alex Thornily finished 6th in the triple jump, Calsie Boyd finished 2nd in the high jump, Martina Milcic set a new women's SHU shot put record finishing 1st overall with a throw of 12.49m and finished 8th in the discus, Vicki Miller finished 2nd in the shot, 5th in the discus and 5th in the hammer throw, Kayla Percic finished 7th in the discus, Mallory Sanner won the javelin event with a throw of 43.82 meters, Kim Lesterick finished 6th in the javelin, Angela McCarthy took home an 8th place finish in the hammer throw.  On the track Jeannie Bujdos won the 3000m with a time of 10:22.65, Mary Janak finished 3rd overall in the 3000m, the 4x100m relay team of Jade Woodridge, Melissa Seagraves, Nina Gladysiewski and Chelsea Cavanaugh finished 4th on the day, Leah Schott finished 5th in the 1500m, Brianna Presutti completed her 1500m race in 8th place, Nina Gladysiewski finished 6th overall in the 100m with a time of 12.65, Megan Cala took home runner up honors in the 800m race, Sarah Burkett finished 7th in the 800m, Emily Dempsey finished 2nd in the 5000m and Morgan Petro capped off the women's day with a 4th place finish in the 5000m.  On the men's side, Sherron Thomas finished 3rd in the high jump and 6th in the long jump,  Terry Jackson finished 2nd in the 110m hurdles and 4th in the triple jump, Jon Bogert finished 6th in the steeple chase, Algeron Johnson took home a 4th place finish in the 110m hurdles, Josh Davis set a new SHU school record in the 1500m with a time of 4:01.88, Santo Belle finished 8th in the 1500m, Anthony Peluso finished 2nd in the 100m with a time of 11.06, Nick Spino placed 5th in the 400m hurdles and Austin Rigsby finished 3rd overall in the 5000m on the day.  This week a few  men and women will compete the week at the Penn Relays and Anthony Phillips and Nicole Malara will compete in the WVIAC Multi Event Championships hosted by Glenville State on Saturday and Sunday.
