Griffin left hander Alex Haines has been named the WVIAC Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.  Haines, a 6'4” hurler from Greensburg, Pa., went the distance in an 8-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown. In the seven-inning shutout, he struck out eight and walked just two and gave up a mere three hits. Haines faced four batters over the minimum. The victory marked his third complete game of the season. Haines is now 4-0 on the year with a 1.72 ERA.
