GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director at Seton Hill College, announced that Heather Eckart, the daughter of Kenneth and Cheryl Eckart of Conneautville, PA, has accepted a cross-country scholarship. She will begin attending classes in the Fall 2001. “Heather will be a valuable asset to the team,” Fogle said. “We are looking forward to working with her as we rebuild the cross-country team.” A recent graduate from Salgertown Senior High School, Eckart made the U.S. Track and Field Team, made All-Conference three years and was a runner-up for All-Conference in Cross-Country. In addition, she was listed in Who’s Who in Sports, Who’s Who Among American High School Students and was a member of the Spanish and Ski Clubs. “I’m excited to attend Seton Hill because they had the program I am interested in,” Eckart said, who is planning on majoring in family and consumer sciences education at Seton Hill. “I’m also grateful for the opportunity to continue to run.”
