Melissa Lewetag, sophomore at Seton Hill College and daughter of June and Bob Lewetag of Saxonburg, PA, recently completed her freshman year. Lewetag is a pitcher for the softball team at Seton Hill.

“As a freshman Melissa pitched 110 innings, this is more innings than any freshman has pitched in previous years,” said John Fogle the softball coach. “She appeared in 21 games, winning 3, with 50 percent of her losses ending in close score games.” Fogle added, “Melissa will continue to have a great impact at an all conference level, I am looking forward to watching her enhance her pitching skills in the upcoming softball seasons.”

At Knock High School, Melissa played varsity softball and basketball. She participated in intramural volleyball as well.

Lewetag, who is majoring in management at Seton Hill, commented, “I am excited about the next school year, especially the next softball season. We have grown a great deal and I know we have a solid opportunity to do well as a team.”
