Seton Hill University’s Farrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Series will present “How to Become a Successful Leader, Ethically,” a free public lecture, on Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. (Light refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m.) Jerry Salandro, president and CEO of Iris Technologies located in Greensburg, Pa., will serve as keynote speaker. Jerry Salandro, an entrepreneur, inventor, and innovator of video technology software, founded IRIS Technologies in 1987. An expert with more than thirty years of experience using video technology to teach students, athletes, and professionals, Jerry holds nearly 56 patent claims on video devices that are being used across the country in places like the Pentagon, NASA, and Comcast, as well as in colleges and high schools from New Hampshire to California. He speaks to students, coaches, and businesses across the country on, “How leaders can create work environments where people will love coming to work.” Jerry is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Master’s Degree in Education. Salandro has received the W.S. Jackman Award for Outstanding Business Alumni Achievements from the California University of Pennsylvania, the American Business Ethics Award, the Pittsburgh High Technology Council Award for being one of Pittsburgh’s 50 fastest growing companies, the Westmoreland Economic Development Corporation Business Person of the Year, and, most recently, the Distinguished Alumni Award from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The Farrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Series is a program of The Farrell Programs for Innovation in Business at Seton Hill, and is made possible by a gift from the Farrell Family Foundation of Pittsburgh. The Farrell Programs for Innovation in Business help Seton Hill students develop the entrepreneurial skills needed to compete in a rapidly changing world by integrating entrepreneurship, grounded in the liberal arts, into all levels of the University’s academic business and management programs.
