National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education Statement on Charlottesville

The recent events in Charlottesville serve as a reminder of the bigotry and intolerance that exists in our nation. The National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education mourns the loss of counter-protestor Heather Heyer, and condemns white supremacists, Neo-Nazis, and anti-Semites who promote such disgusting brutality. Let us continue to speak out against these advocates of hate, and join with countless other individuals and organizations nationwide in condemning acts of this nature. Hateful rhetoric and violence has no place in a nation that promotes equality and justice for all people.
