GREENSBURG, PA- Dr. Jacinta Mann, professor emerita at Seton Hill College, was recently honored with a scholarship endowed in her name by her mentor, Dr. Julian Stanley. Stanley taught Mann at the University of Wisconsin where she completed her Ph.D. The two have kept in contact via letters for over 20 years. Dr. Stanley visited Mann in the fall and announced his intention to create a scholarship in Mann’s name at Seton Hill because of her devotion to the College, even in retirement.

The Jacinta Mann Endowed Scholarship will go to a woman management major with the highest overall GPA at the beginning of her junior year. While serving as Dean of Seton Hill College, Mann founded the management program and has a special attachment to the division.

“I was surprised and honored that he decided to do this for me,” Mann said, noting the two have always been close, even publishing several papers together throughout their careers. “He was always someone I could communicate well with and has been a great encourager.”
