Greensburg, PA – Seton Hill University will host a presentation by Pennsylvania’s Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll on Friday, September 10 at 10 a.m. The lecture, organized by the Seton Hill Student Government Association and co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters in Westmoreland County, will address the voting process and issues of interest to the Commonwealth in the upcoming election. Lt. Gov. Knoll will speak in Room 308 of Seton Hill’s Administration Building, and the event is free and open to the public. A parking shuttle for visitors will be available from all campus lots.

The first woman elected to the Office of Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Lt. Gov. Knoll also served eight distinguished years as State Treasurer of Pennsylvania. Lt. Gov. Knoll has contributed to her community through her longstanding involvement with the YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs, Mom’s House, the NAACP, Elder Care Inc., and the Pennsylvania Nature Conservancy. Honored by organizations throughout the nation for her leadership, Lt. Gov. Knoll has accumulated a long list of “firsts.” Among them: first woman appointed to the AFL-CIO Housing and Building Board of Trustees; Chairwoman of the Pension Committee of the National Association of State Treasurers; creator of Pennsylvania’s Student Loan Program and of Small Business Loan Programs for women and minorities.
