Greensburg, PA – On Martin Luther King, Jr. day students, faculty & staff of Seton Hill "take the day on" instead of taking the day off by volunteering at local human service organizations to help keep Dr. King's commitment to service alive. This year Seton Hill will be working with the Westmoreland Food Bank, Caritas Christi, the Christian Layman Thrift Shop, Welcome Home Homeless Shelter and Clelian Heights. Seton Hill community members will be volunteering with these organizations from 1 – 4 p.m. on January 19.

Seton Hill will also be presenting an educational program commemorating Dr. King for all members of the Seton Hill community titled "Keep the Dream Alive." This presentation, which will take place from 11 - 12:30 on January 22nd in Seton Hill’s Cecilian Hall, will focus on homelessness and Dr. King's commitment to the poor. Mr. Herman Porter, J.D., Adjunct Professor in Seton Hill's MBA program, will give the opening keynote remarks. Seton Hill Theatre will follow Mr. Porter's remarks with theatrical presentations of and about homelessness.
