Seton Hill University will host a panel discussion on Thursday, October 15, at 6 p.m., in Reeves Theatre on Seton Hill University’s main hilltop campus, to educate individuals on the outcomes of the G-20 Summit. The panel will address the following questions: What was decided by the G-20 leaders?; How will economies and people be affected by those decisions?; What are the political implications of the decisions?; What were the protests in Pittsburgh about?; How do the protests relate to freedom of speech?; How was the City of Pittsburgh affected?; and How does the G-20 and what occurred around it relate to Catholic Social Teaching and social justice issues?

Panelists include Seton Hill University faculty members Michael Cary, Ph.D., professor, history; Frank Klapak, Ph.D., professor, communication and education; James Paharik, Ph.D., associate professor, sociology; John Spurlock, Ph.D., professor, history; Doina Vlad, Ph.D., assistant professor, business. The panel will be moderated by Lloyd Gibson, D.Sc., assistant professor, business, and director, Master of Business Administration program.

“We believe it is important to discuss the outcomes of G-20 in the context of liberal arts in order to better educate our local area on the importance and impact of the G-20 Summit,” said Gibson.
