11 P.M. Press Conference to Precede Event

Greensburg, PA – Seton Hill University’s newest group of Griffins, the Men’s Basketball team, will be introduced to the community on Wednesday, November 5th at a Midnight Madness event to be held in Seton Hill’s Sullivan Hall Gymnasium. Also introduced during the event will be the 2003 –2004 Women’s Basketball team. A Pep Rally will be held on Sullivan Lawn beginning at 11 p.m. At midnight, the event will move to Sullivan Gym, where both teams will be introduced and play brief scrimmages. In addition, the men’s team will participate in a dunk contest and the women’s in a three-point shootout. Prizes, food and entertainment will cap off the evening. The public is welcome to attend.

An 11 p.m. press conference with the men’s and women’s basketball teams and coaching staff will be held in the Griffin’s Cove on the first floor of Sullivan Hall. All media personnel with credentials will be admitted.

Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff: Head Coach Tony Morocco of Trafford, PA, has a career that includes positions with Saint Francis College, the University of Iowa, Long Beach State University, the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Saint Vincent College and most recently Point Park College. In addition, Morocco has coached professional teams including the Rockford Lightning of the Continental Basketball Association and Arecibo of the Puerto Rican Superior League. Assistant Coach Jack Loya a former standout football and basketball player from Clarion University, was named Maryland Junior College Conference Coach of the Year while at Frederick Community College. Coach Loya also coached in high school where his teams won both the District and Regional Championships in West Virginia. Loya has also scouted for Bill Bertka of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and was an assistant coach at Pitt-Johnstown. Assistant Coach Garret Richards, a 2002 graduate of West Virginia University rounds out the Men’s Basketball coaching staff.

Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff: Head Coach Scott Breegle of Youngwood, PA is beginning his first year as head Women’s Basketball coach at Seton Hill. Breegle replaces Rich Rosensteel, whom he coached under as the Griffins assistant for the past two years. Prior to his post at Seton Hill, Breegle spent eight years at Greensburg Central Catholic, six as the head coach of the women’s varsity program. Breegle’s six seasons at the helm for GCC included six playoff appearances, five section titles, one WPIAL championship, one PIAA championship, and one PIAA runner-up finish. Assistant Coach Tim Creamer of Greensburg, PA has enjoyed coaching stints at Bentworth High School and most recently as the assistant women's basketball coach at CCAC South for the last two seasons. Coach Creamer also serves as the Men’s/Women’s Tennis and Women’s Cross Country Coach at Seton Hill.
