Seton Hill University’s Music, Theatre and Dance Programs are joining to host “Music from 18th Century Colonial Williamsburg” on Friday, January 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Carol Ann Reichgut Concert Hall on the main floor of the Seton Hill University Performing Arts Center located at the corner at 100 Harrison Avenue in Greensburg, Pa. This unique concert will feature popular music of the time, sacred music, fifes and drums, plantation spirituals and dance and music from the Williamsburg taverns. Dr. Gene Saraceni, a retired Seton Hill theatre professor, will read works by Benjamin Franklin.

Faculty participating in the event include Daphne Alderson (voice), adjunct instructor, music, Michele Boulet (flute), Community Music instructor, Sarah Ferrell (cello), Community Music instructor, Edgar Highberger (piano and harpsichord), associate professor, music and director of the Sacred Music Program, Laurie Jones (voice), associate professor, music, Rise Kostilik (oboe), adjunct instructor, music, Community Music instructor, Marvin Huls (piano and harpsichord), associate professor, music, Edward Kuhn (piano), assistant professor, music, Dr. Kelly Lunch (voice), adjunct instructor, music, John Marcinizyn (guitar), adjunct instructor, music, Community Music instructor, Dr. Curt Scheib (voice), professor, music, and chairperson, Division of Visual and Performing Arts, Rosalind Stack (flute), adjunct instructor, music, Community Music instructor, Crystal Stryker (voice), adjunct instructor, music, Marc Tourre (voice), adjunct instructor, music, and Lynne Williams (voice), Community Music instructor.

Students participating in the event include Thomas McKinney (drums) of Westmoreland City, Pa., and Allison Mora (piccolo) of Chesapeake Beach, Md. Students enrolled in dance classes, under the director of TaMara Swank, assistant professor, theatre and dance, will perform. Susan O’Neill, instructor, theatre, designed the costumes for the performance.

Venue Information: The Carol Ann Reichgut Concert Hall is located in Seton Hill’s Performing Arts Center, 100 Harrison Avenue, Greensburg, Pa. The Performing Arts Center is a fully accessible and climate-controlled facility. Parking is available in four nearby Greensburg parking areas: the Bell Parking Garage on North Otterman Street (across the street from the Performing Arts Center), the Hellman-Ghrist lot on North Main Street, the Albert Grillo lot on Seton Hill Drive, and the Wib Albright lot off West Otterman Street.
