The Seton Hill Society for Human Resource Management Student Chapter has received the Superior Merit Award. Only 89 of the 390 active chapters in the United States earned the award.

The Seton Hill Chapter’s activities include hosting HR Manager Forums on campus, presenting relevant HR speakers, including the Westmoreland Human Resource President, participating in the World Food Day Drive, and offering numerous off-site workshops.

Cathy Giunta, assistant professor of management at Seton Hill, noted the impact of the award, “The Superior Merit Award reflects the focus of Seton Hill’s HR curriculum towards applicable and up-to-date preparation for the changing HR field.” She added, “Our student chapter is most deserving of this honor. As the SHRM guidelines indicate, our chapter does well in providing opportunities for growth and development in HR for students.”
