What: New Seton Hill Recreation Complex Ground Breaking Celebration

Who: Members of the Seton Hill community including President JoAnne Boyle; Trustees Mary Ann Aug, Sr. Lyn Marie Dwyer, Barbara Nakles, Kym Stout Phillips, Kelley Murray Skoloda and Sr. Patricia Mary Wilson; Alumni and Friends Karen Barkac, Lu and Pat Costello and Connie and Ron Salvitti and Political Representatives Mayor Karl Eisaman, Senator Allen Kukovich, Commissioner Tom Balya, Councilman Emil Peterinelli and Councilman Tom Tridico.

When: Friday, May 2, 2003

Schedule of events:

4:00 p.m. – "Battle of the Buildings" – student/staff/faculty teams (each team named after a building on SHU’s campus) competing in a variety of games

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Picnic Dinner for SHU community and invited guests

5:00 p.m. – Ground Breaking Ceremony for Seton Hill’s new 44,000 square-foot recreation complex

5:30 p.m. – Formal dinner in 2nd Floor Administration Building parlors for members of the Ground Breaking Ceremony Committee and invited guests

5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Laser Tag, Activity Booths, Live bands The Delaneys & Dave Pahanish

9:00 p.m. – Foam Party in the Faculty House (The Faculty House, a 100 year-old structure, will be demolished to make way for the new recreation complex. During the Foam Party, members of the SHU community will write their goodbyes on the interior walls.)

Where: Sullivan Lawn (with the exception of the formal dinner to take place in the 2nd Floor Administration Building Parlors)
