Background: Westmoreland County’s Fourth Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event brings the community together to directly support the Blackburn Center’s education and outreach activities that sustain the agency’s mission to end domestic and sexual violence.

Men who participate in the walk may opt to wear women’s high heels to symbolize they understand the difficulties women face every day when it comes to being on guard against domestic and sexual violence.

Members of the Seton Hill community, including faculty, staff, students and alumni, will participate in the event to show their support to those impacted by domestic and sexual violence and to help put an end to both.
