GREENSBURG, PA- Seton Hill University senior Jennifer Peddicord broke the school record for most career goals scored for the women’s soccer team on Wednesday, October 9th against Walsh University. Peddicord scored her 73rd goal that placed her in a three-way tie for 12th place on the NAIA national list of all-time individual career goals scored.

Since then, the Forward from Suttersville, PA has upped her total to 75 goals, putting her in 12th place alone and 4 goals behind the 9th place on the all-time national list.

"I didn’t know until an hour before the game that I was close to breaking the record," Peddicord said, noting she had been averaging about two goals per game beforehand. "I think I was nervous knowing that because I had trouble scoring even though I had been given a lot of chances. I’m still taking this in now, but I know I never could have broken the record without my team this year. I really enjoy playing with the team and it’s a great feeling to be winning, too."

"Since coming to Seton Hill as a freshman, Jennifer has had a tremendous impact on the team’s performance," said John Fogle, Seton Hill Athletics Director and Head Women’s Soccer Coach. "The team is proud of her accomplishments and looks to her for continued leadership as we finish out our regular season with the goal of making it to the playoffs."

The Seton Hill team’s record is 12-4 with five more games left in the regular season. They are ranked second in the American Mideast Conference Northern Division ahead of rival St. Vincent College. The top four teams in the Northern Division will advance to the playoffs.
