Gov. Ed Rendell’s re-nomination of Christine Mueseler, vice president for Institutional Advancement at Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA, to the Pennsylvania Public Television Network (PPTN) Commission, has been confirmed by the state Senate, the network reported April 19.

Mueseler’s appointment received the unanimous approval of the Senate Wednesday, April 18. She was appointed initially to the Commission by Governor Tom Ridge. She is the chairwoman of PPTN’s Station Grants Committee and is also a member of the Executive Committee and Foundation Exploration/Future Initiative Committee.

Mueseler, of Greensburg, Pa., has worked at Seton Hill since 1991 in several capacities, including director of the Seton Hill University Women’s History Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Seton Hill University, a Master of Arts in history from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has completed doctoral coursework in higher education administration at the University of Pittsburgh. She has been vice president for Institutional Advancement at Seton Hill University for 10 years and, in that capacity, she manages marketing, media relations, alumni relations and fundraising for the University.
