The 2013 version of the Seton Hill University Softball team begins a new era as Paul O'Brien takes over as the head coach.  The team may be small on numbers; but returns an experienced nucleus of position players. They will have to rely on sophomores and freshmen in the pitchers circle.  The team will need these young arms to survive the tough WVIAC schedule.  Last season the Griffins were 6th in the WVIAC with a conference record of 13-13 and a 20-29 overall record. The team made a nice run throughout the WVIAC Tournament last season.  After suffering a tough 1-0 loss to WV State, SHU knocked off #2 seed Charleston and #5 seed Fairmont State before being eliminated with a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Ohio Valley.
