On Saturday the women and men's track and field team competed at the Spire Institute in the North Coast Open.  On the women's side for the day Toni Davision had a season best jump of 3.05m (10'-0") good for 6th overall on the day.  Martina Milcic took home a 5th place finish in the shot 11.53m(37'-10") and 8th place in the weight.  Nichelle McMillan finished 2nd overall in the triple jump 10.97m (36'-0"), Mallory Trainer finished 7th in the triple jump on the day, Angela McCowin took home a season best time of 9.37 in the 60m hurdles finishing 6th overall, Meagen Carter hit a PSAC qualifying time in the mile finishing third at 5:17.48, Alesha Herman placed 7th in the 200m running 26.39 and in the women's 5000m Chelsia Poole hit the PSAC mark running a personal best 18:54.03 second overall, Jackie Kleinschrodt ran a personal best time of 19:17.87 good for a 4th place finish, Alyssa Brandis finished 6th overall and Sarah Taylor took home a 7th place finish for the Griffins.
