The men's and women's track and field teams kicked off the spring semester at the Al Hall Freedom games at Edinboro University Saturday January 17th and picked up where they left off before winter break in December with another strong showing .  The men were lead by Terry Jackson and his first place finish in the 60m hurdle race posting a time of 8.57.  Santo Belle had a 4th place showing in the 800m and teammates Micah Cantaral and Carl Koehler rounded out the scoring in the event at 7th and 8th place.  Bobby Gould took home and 8th place finish in the 200m, Stephen Lafferty took home a 7th place finish in the 3000m for his efforts on the day, The distance medley relay team of Algeron Johnson, Santo Belle, Micah Cantaral and Anthony Camasso qualified for the PSAC indoor championships and placed 5th overall on the day, Derek DiAngelis broke his school record in the pole vault with a 4th place finish jumping 4.55m (15'-00"), teammates Tyler Kolar and Algeron Johnson finished 6th and 7th also qualifying for the PSAC indoor championships in the event.  Davon Dutrieuille won the long jump with a mark of 6.65m (21'-10") a PSAC qualifying mark and finished 4th in the triple jump also qualifying for the PSAC championships in that event as well.  Jon Capps took home a second place finish in the high jump at 1.85m (6'-00.75") and Algeron Johnson qualified for his 3rd PSAC event also clearing 1.85m (6'-00.75") good for 4th place on the day.
